I'm looking to replace the (dated) outboard mirrors on a 96 Type-I. Mine have three chromed supports to the doors. Mine look military --or like the 1960's.
But ambu modules are *very wide-- so I have yet to find a set that is stable and *wide enough. I need a minimum of 20" to the *centerline of mirrors.
Any thoughts?

Many E350 owners replace the similar 'Elephant Ear' mirrors with mirrors from a newer Ford.
Are there newer GM mirrors that could be used... I'm not familiar with that platform.

Yeah, @outlawimages , those look like the usual offerings, but my module is 18"(?) outside my cab. As far as *sturdy and wide, I may be SOL.
I've looked at fire engines and busses-- are those the "elephant ears" mentioned? (Hang down)

One google search tells me *all flat, oversized mirrors are called "elephant ears". And my module is more like 14" wider than the cab (see pic), but it looks *dated-- yeah, my truck is 20yo!!

These cool mirrors are heated and adjustable off a Class C motorhome, and reach out pretty far
