Wrapping my up and down pipes made a significant difference on engine noise.
I'm confident that it will also help my trans temp in the summer months. Although, it hasn't been an issue after I did the 6.0 cooler swap a few months ago.

SRW Conversion

Mickey Thompson 375/65R16 MTZ P3

It just took a little bit of cutting, new hubs and rotors, and some offset rims.

No big deal at all. NO SPACERS, or adaptors.

Viola!

Updates? How many feet of wrap did you use wrapping the pipes to the turbo and down pipe?

I’d like to cut down noise in every way I can... and exhaust seems like as good a place as any to start.

Haven't done squat to it all summer. Too friggin' HOT!

I bought 2 rolls, and had some left over, if I remember correctly........

How much did the SRW mod end up costing you not including the wheels/tires? After driving it a bit was it worth it?

As this was my plan ever since I bought the rig, the cost din't much matter. But, I would guess the essentials right around 1k for the hub/rotor assemblies, bearing sets, adjustable kingpins, and alignment. I definitely spent more than that though. Updated the brake pads, steering stabilizer, and other random stuff while I was in there.

As for the driving. It handles better than my 2wd E350 (TurtleTop) hands down, not even close, and I love it. No regrets.

Earlier in the summer, I put on Timbrens and SuperSprings. It rides awesome, and it easily took care of the sag.
