Weekend Rescue
Postby Outlawupfitting » Tue Oct 02, 2018 10:00 am
I just started my conversion. Project Weekend Rescue was a former Jacksonville Fl Ambulance. Chassis is the 2009 International 4300 Extended cab with Horton Box. Powertrain is the International Maxforce 7 and Allison Tranny.

looks great. I want to take mine and cut the cabinets down in back and put in a raised permanent full bed with garage/storage below. Yet want to keep rear door exit access somehow as an interior emergency exit as well. (trap door in bed platform?). Will loose either exterior cabinet space on back passenger side or interior cabinet space on driver side wall.. might have to loose both.. I'm 5'8.. not tall but bed will need to stretch across at least 6' across width of the box.

Spent a few hours cutting the paint .. UGH.. still have about 3 more trips around this beast. But it looks good. Most of the ghost letters are gone along with the oxidation

If I Hadn’t wrapped mine I’d be wanting to do the same.
