So... I'm curious...
I got my rig (diesel) with 129k miles on it. For all the $$ I've invested, I joke that I need to get 1,000,000 out of it to break even. And I WANT it to last a long time.
What miles are you putting on your rig? How many are you wanting to get out of your rig? Over what period of time?
Thanks for replying.

if you get out of it now you won't get near what you have invested..... so you take a loss.... if you finish up..... enjoy it with friends and family... then even if you still sell it at a $$ loss.... its still not a real loss overall.
'99 Ford E-350, 7.3L Powerstroke, Type III Crestline. Bought it with 275 000 km (~171 000 mi), put about 15 000 km (9320 mi) on it since May. Things around the engine are failing as it wasn't heavily used by the last two previous owners (only 32 000 km / 19 830 mi over 9 years) and obviously its age, but that's to be expected. Plus they've been cheap and easy-to-fix problems (vac pump, fuel bowl heater shorted, replaced leaky turbo up pipe, replaced rear brake lines).
