Well, not sure this is what I really want to do, but the circumstances are making it as such. I originally purchased the vehicle to make a cross country trip because of work. However, that has changed (job is not requiring relocation) and the need for a cross country camper/ambulance is no longer. It has been a crazy few months. Looking for 26k or best offer.
This is professionally converted ambulance (ambulance_conversion on IG) and I know I will not remember a lot of the specifics of the build (I am the 2nd owner after the build).
It is a 1996 E350 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel. Located in San Diego, CA. 87k miles. Mechanically, the Ambo is in great shape.
Conversion - This is where I know I am missing information, however I will provide pics (soon) and hopefully that will give enough detail.
Solar and Batteries
-200watt (will have to confirm) Renogy solar panel
-Tracer Solar Charge Convertor
-PM-2000KAR DC to AC inverter
-MT50 Remote Meter
-4 (need to confirm) batteries that power the box
-1 engine battery for box (need to confirm)
-Brand new vehicle starter battery
-Shore power connection
-This was a Fire Rescue Truck from the midwest, from what I have been told it was not used and spent most of its life in a person's yard(?). It is heavily insulated and has not seen the type of use a typical ambo has.
-Custom futon that pulls out into a full side bed
-New Costway refrigerator
-Sink with working faucet and water pump (current using a 5 gallon water jug for drinking water and 5 gallon bucket for gray)
-2 Fans (not sure of brand) that can pull air in or out (switches on panel by captains chair labeled)
-all cabinets securely lock
-26inch (need to confirm) samsung flatscreen tv mounted to wall above rear doors, outlets run behind TV, as well as two mounted speakers that are separate from the cab
-For cooking there is a older coleman propane camping grill that will stay with the Ambo, previous owner left it and it will stay - I have not used it.
-Original headunit from the 96. Not sure if this is a plus, but has a tape deck!
-Front speakers work great
-AC and Heat work great - ice cold AC
-Hella Flood lights mounted on front are wired to a switch just under the steering
-Power windows and locks (windows/locks still working).
-no cracks in dash or windshield
-All gauges functioning
-Emblems and sirens removed
-Lights are all still installed, but the flashers are all unhooked, only the normal running lights and other normal lights are still working
-outside flood lights wired to a switch inside the box
-overall the paint is in decent shape (for its age). Still looks like an Ambo (people tend to give you the right of way!)
-Bumper has flip up step that can hide a hitch if you are to install one (hitch not installed, but all the wiring is apparently there if you want to install one).
-All outdoor lockers lock and shut easily, all in great shape
-For full disclosure, there is some rust. Nothing that is not normal for a vehicle of its age and none on the body.
-ABS light is on - this is where the rust is a factor, I planned to fix the ABS but was told that it was not worth it for 2 reason. First, the HCU for the ABS system is obsolete and difficult to find and Second, the shop did not want to break any of the brake lines.
That is all I can think of for now. I know I am missing some things, but I will get pictures up shortly and hopefully that can provide any information I missed. 26k OBO, SD CA.
