Re: Gas or Wood Stove Heaters/Fireplace

In case anyone was wondering. I did a cubic mini stove and it just happened to fit super well in the action area. There is a void where I could run the pipe and not lose ANY space. This looks awesome - I have plans for a mini wood stove in mine too. Which model did you go with? Hows it working? Any...

Floor insulation

Is there any good way to insulate the ambulance, specifically the undercarriage? I neglected to put any insulation below my vinyl flooring. Should I pull it up and install a barrier between it and the plywood? I would prefer to put something below the sheet metal floor, but I am worried about weathe...

Re: Parasitic Drains

Two thoughts here: If not using for a period of time: Battery disconnect right at the battery is a cheap option: https://www.amazon.com/Post-Battery-Master-Disconnect-Switch/dp/B001N729FS Second: If parking at your usual spot, run an electrical cord to it and get a battery tender. I connect mine to ...

Re: Ambo Box Entry Stairs

Stepping it you had to grab the door handle previously. This makes it really easy. Do you have a photo of this add-on step when its stored away under the box? Curious how it meshes w the exterior, etc. Looks like the set-up I'd prefer, seems like it's working well for your rig! I definitely love it...

Re: Roof Rack options: buy, build, or modify?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XbFUdnEZW7c Good video to get some inspiration. I think getting some aluminum tubing at your local HD or Lowes could fit this purpose, cut at 45 like in the video, and mounted to the top with the tubing placed above would fit most purposes for a gritty roof rack. Tho...

Winch/Winches

Anyone have a winch? Wondering if they would be a good option to get out of a stuck situation. I have read some people prefer to mount it to the rear of a vehicle so they can get out of a spot, rather than further in.

Re: Horn on steering column not working, but works triggering siren functions

They definitely disconnected the horn for the siren.

It happened with my Crown vic. I found a wire under my steering wheel that was cut in half for the siren. It was a simple as reconnecting it. I am sure the ambo is likely the same... just gotta find the wire
