Progressive covered my ambo as a box truck with no issues. They also cover my school bus an my 24' box truck. The downfall to Progressive is they do not cover "converted RVs" so I just kept mine as commercial coverage, plus the quotes were cheaper.

I have a 2000 Freightliner FL60 with the Cummins Diesel and Allison Trans and I love it. I average around 10-12 mpg. I had zero issues with title/insurance/registration at all here in NC. That depends on the state. Do not need a commercial drivers license either. The pros definitely outway the cons ...

The 20-1050CUL converts battery power to 1050 Watts of 120 VAC modified sine wave power to
operate vital emergency vehicle equipment.

Found this in a Vanner Manual....

As far as the specifics on the specific invertor/charger you have, I can't help too much without seeing it, except for the "AC Output" is the wire that powers your house outlets inside the box.

I think we need to start with some basic electrical knowledge on how the ambulances are set up... The majority of everything in the ambulance runs off 12V DC power (your batteries). The only real thing that runs 120V AC power is the house outlets in the back. A shore power plug only provides 120V AC...

The one in my ambo works great. While brainstorming early in my process with beer and cigars, that exhaust fan sucked the smoke out faster than my buddy and I could produce it.

Yes, the grill lights will easily remove. I have actually thought about isolating those wires from the emergency circuit and use them for some LED flood light bars.

Switched out the light bulbs for LEDs.

Starting cutting out the cabinets to make room for the fridge and stove/oven.
