We need to have a PDX area Ambo meetup. You're still invited!

Re: Shelves and tables

Those amazon reviews seem pretty good for the table. Lots of use in buffets and such. I'd have it placed against the outside wall of the ambo box, between the pass. door and the rear bumper. Or just attach it to some brackets on the box if it seems too tippy. End goal is some kind of outdoor kitchen...

Re: Ceiling fans - Maxx Fan or Fan-Tastic

So I mounted the Ventline VP543 in the rear roof cutout of my ambo. It fit perfectly into the existing hole. Also, due to the 2"+ thickness of the ambo roof, the top & bottom halves just barely covered the distance. I may go back and add some sealant to avoid just pulling hot air from insid...

Re: Shelves and tables

I just measured my stretcher/backboard slots on the ambo. They're 18" tall and could fit a long, skinny table. I may just get one of these "Training Tables" since they're cheap. Pro of a table w/ it's own legs is it won't move w/ the ambo as you get in/out. Less sloshed coffee. Pro/Co...

Re: 3"x7" Light compatibility

You're close, you just have the numbers reversed... My '97 has Whelen 73 series lenses (7x3") on the front fender. I took an amber 73 series lens off the back of the box and put it on one side. Still looking to get a second one, and then I'll hook those lights into the turn signals. Not sure on...

Re: 97 Crestline's Slow camper build

Ended up at $1460, but that included new calipers, pads, rotors turned, wheel bearings re-packed, and rear brakes adjusted. Glad to have it all done at once, would've taken me forever...!

Re: 97 Crestline's Slow camper build

My ambo's at the shop right now getting all the ball joints replaced, & with the left outer tie rod end and an alignment it's going to be $935. Oh well, I'm at work where there's AC. I thought about trying to do them myself, but it's the kind of work I'm not really interested in...

Re: EPorter's 1997 E350 Horton Mini Mod

My interior is pretty much stock ambo. There's a couch/folding bed on the side I keep messing with. Up next is adding a small sink in the cabinet by the pass. side box door. *I've since upgraded the moto 2x6 to a mini atv ramp that lives in the stretcher compartment.* a1.jpg ar4.JPG ar6.JPG ar7.JPG

Re: New to the forum!

What's with the spambot?^^

Sweet ambo, I like the idea of the box on a 4wd pickup. Simple and easy to work on.

Any details on mods? I like the slide-out bed. What else?
