Re: Reducing weight in the Sandbulance.

I would say you need to evaluate cost vs benefit. You will save some weight. I would guess the difference would be somewhere between 300 - 400 lbs.

Only you can determine if 300 lbs is worth the hassle and cost.

Re: Added some new lights and bumper to the Ambulance

Yep.. It is nice to have a big bumper. A Chrysler 300 cut in-front of me. The Chrysler was totaled and I only had a scratch on my bumper.

I will post any bumpers I see on Craigslist

Re: Added some new lights and bumper to the Ambulance

They are expensive. I got lucky. A local shop had a used one so I got it for half the price. Keep checking craigslist. I have seen a few used bumpers that will fit.

It is an Iron Cross Bumper.Image

The light bar was build for my dunebuggy and I converted it to fit the Ambulance bumper.

This is the one I will be using on my second build soon. Will also have 930w of solar to run it.

I really like this option. Where were you thinking about mounting the external AC box?

Re: folding/storing bed ideas

I bought 3 Emo Hammocks that I hang across the ambulance. I sleep on the couch and the kids love the hammocks.
