Lock cylinders

Most Ambu’s will have all exterior boxes “keyed same”, so one key. But are you aware that that is (probably) a CH505 key? That’s the key that every toolbox on every truckbox and utility door has as the common key.... ahem.... Time to make mine unique, cuz all my stuff’s in there! I think the cylinde...

Re: Loose door... does not close tight

Check your seals all the way around. If they’re folded over on the hinge side, it’ll never close. Try to determine if it’s been over-opened —that is, that the hinge has been over-flexed. But you said you have play in the latch...... take the liner off and examine the catches. If their fixation brack...

Re: Chassis flex accommodations for Ambo box mount

My Wheeled Coach module (Type I) is frame mounted outside on six upmarket stanchions— theirs, not Chevy’s. IOW, it’s hard to flex it much, but it will get visibly flexed (to jammin doors) even with one front foot jacked.
I guess that means that —even at 20 years old— the rubber is still flexible.

Re: Roof Rack options: buy, build, or modify?

Many nomads have successfully used the UHB mastic from 3M to mount solar panels and other elements on roofs. Expecting a lot for Roof rack tho.

Re: Adding under floor storage

A good solution to a common problem. However, good vehicle security is foremost, since your best is in there. 3 kill switches? GPS? Window bars?

Re: Exterior roof access folding steps?

I’m mounting steps inside my tall utility door on driver side, but putting backing plate to reinforce the diamond plate aluminum mount. First step is bottom of door, 18”, highest are two handholds on the roof 15” from Edge.

Re: New batts: Cross-wired or Parasitic drain?

Nope, turned out it was only a partial rev polarity, mostly shorted to the batts.
Now I need to find the DC circuit breaker or get a new inverter
