Re: 97 Crestline's Slow camper build

Can you guess which is the new LED and which is the Halogen?

5 W per LED vs 37.5 W per Bulb.

I switched to the whiter light to go better with the white rig... and save a ton of power.

Re: 97 Crestline's Slow camper build

I’ve also ordered these for the exterior lights. They’re not here yet. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07CJTZGHQ The LEDs arrived today. I only managed to get a pair installed today. They are a bright white that makes the Halogen Bulbs look yellow. I chose the bright white to better match the whi...

Re: 97 Crestline's Slow camper build

What brand LED did you use for 2.5 watt and 4 watt? The 2 watt I have is definitely less light than the haligens. Dayker : 4W https://www.amazon.ca/Replacement-Dimmable-Lightbulb-Landscape-Lighting/dp/B0792Q6RB9/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&ref=yo_pop_d_pd GRB : 2.4W (not a...

Re: 97 Crestline's Slow camper build

I’ve now got 4W G4 LEDs and 2.5W wedge (921) installed. Surprisingly the 2.5 throws more light in the overhead fixtures than the 4. The dimmable 4W are tree shaped, and they throw light in 360 deg. They are encased in clear silicon. I think they’d be a better design for the exterior flood lights. Th...

Re: Shore power to existing wiring inverter

In my experience all lights are 12v. I’ve found G4 LED bulbs will fit in place of the 37.5W Halogen. I’ve now have 2.4W LEDs to replace the others I’ve not put them in yet, but another member has said 921 Bulbs work. With super efficient bulbs, the need for lights connected to shore will be minimized.

Re: clothes washing

https://www.amazon.com/Leonard-OdJob-Concrete-Material-Mixer/dp/B078TLGQCZ Several options came up when I googled “5 gallon concrete mixing pail” images... although the Amazon one is labeled as 7. It uses a large 3/8” thick O-ring to seal liquid from coming out. Or search, “where to buy odjob mixer”

Re: clothes washing

Years ago we used a concrete mixing pail. I was thinking it would work well to wash clothes by rolling it on a flat surface a few times. When I went looking for a picture I found it on the survivalist site... and I thought it was an original idea.
