3"x7" Light compatibility

I've got painted over Red & White +/- 3"x7" Whelen xenon strobe lights on the front fender and grill. At first glance the original '97 lights look like Whelen 700 series, but they don't have a series number on the lens. I may have to pull them if no one knows offhand, but was there a p...

Very worthwhile to have it all done. Keep an eye on the pads and replace them before they are too worn and it'll be an easy job in the future.

Re: 97 Crestline's Slow camper build

Had a friend do the upper and lower ball joints... they're a major pain to do. Took it to Ford for a front end alignment... I wasn't impressed when they tried to charge me $200 more than the quoted price for the wheel alignment. All because it needed an alignment bushing changed. They claim, after t...

Re: 97 Crestline's Slow camper build

The Moog 880s still are about the same at 35.5" to the top of the front fenders. I picked up some low mileage Bilstein HD shocks for the front. I'm very pleased with the ride and handling now. Virtually no dive even when the brakes are applied aggressively. High speed bumps are way more control...

Crestline has been very helpful when I've called. The reps I've spoken to have had firsthand knowledge of my rig.

Re: Exterior roof access folding steps?

I've got a Crestline New Era like Abitibi. They're a little wider than a Mini-mod and came with Dually wheels. You're right, there's no space beside the cab to put steps.

Re: Need Help Insurance in WA

I've heard some have got them insured by not referring to them as an ambulance but simply as an E350 Cutaway Van. Some employees will say no just because they don't know rather than figure it out. Given some have insured theirs with the same companies that said no to you this may be the case. This m...
